WHY IN GARAGE DELIVERY?
79% of US consumers shop online and run into issues like stolen packages and missed deliveries. 72% of Americans who live in a house or townhome take security measures to avoid having a package stolen.Using your garage as a package drop-off point will transcend current delivery hurdles.
The garage is big enough to receive various sized packages and takes weather out of the equation. Wether the garage is attached or detached, it serves as an extension of the home that is self-contained, making entering a garage space much less intrusive then entering the home itself.
WHAT IS KEY FOR GARAGE?
As part of Key by Amazon Service, eligible Prime members will have the option of secure, worry-free in-garage delivery using a myQ compatible garage door opener or myQ hardware.
HOW DO YOU ENSURE THE SAFTEY OF IN-GARAGE DELIVERY?
Safety is our top priority. In-garage delivery is a safe way for customers to receive their packages. First, delivery drivers never have an access code to a customer’s garage. Instead, drivers are granted one-time access after Amazon’s verification process confirms that the right driver and package is at the correct address, and that the driver is near the door. Second, Amazon Cloud cam records delivery’s so customers can review a video clip of the delivery. Third, drivers will not move onto their next delivery until the door has been securely closed.
HOW MUCH DOES In-GARAGE DELIVERY COST?
Once installed, there is no additional cost to choosing the “in-garage” option at checkout. If your garage door is already myQ connected, then it is as simple as linking your Amazon and myQ accounts to the Key app.
